- Height of cut.
- Pitch dimensions.

- Poor standard pitch/s.
- Loss of play due to poor surface conditions.
- Loss of revenue.
- Reputational damage to club and volunteer groundsmen.
Equipment:
- Quadrat.
- Straight edge, wedge & spirit level.
- Compass.
- 100 m surveyors measuring tape & pins.
- Prisms for grass height.
Practical Tips:
- There are alternatives using readily available to complete these tasks rather than the expensive specialist equipment.
- Allow 2 hours to complete all of these tasks and log results for complete records.
