Aim:
Many materials such as fertiliser, grass seed and loam need to be kept dry.
Method:
- A dry structure with a solid floor and a wide opening door is advantage.
- Covered bays can be used for large volumes of material such as soil.
- Additional storage is needed for chemicals such as pesticides to meet current legislation and the operator need to be certificated.
Timing:
All year.
Effects of Incorrect Procedure:
When fertiliser is wet it is unusable, fertiliser and grass seed is expensive so all the materials need to be kept secure and dry.
