How it’s used:

Applying fresh paint on football goals and other equipment pre-season will not only improve the appearance of your ground, it will help preserve the equipment over the harsh winter months.

Timing:

Painting goalposts is typically done pre-season and takes around three hours. June is a good time to thoroughly check your goalposts. Don’t just take them down and store them away. Make sure they will be fit for purpose for the new season. .

Effects of incorrect procedure:

Surface not covered in total, areas not repainted will be susceptible to rust..

Equipment selection:

Apply it to the surface with a brush, roller or spray.

Practical tips:

Take time to repair any areas that are showing rust by sanding down the affected area and coating with touch-up paint.
