Groundsmanship for Sports Clubs has been built with the grounds maintenence volunteer in mind.

The structure of the site has been developed to easily guide the user through the content by providing everything in bitesize pieces. Content is grouped together in related sections either by sport, or by topic.

Some content is are seen as relevant to all sports and is arranged accordingly in the core module section. These core modules are seen as the entry level skill set that should be understood prior to reading up on a sport-specific level. More in depth, sport-specific content is found in the sport sections.

Each sport's content is grouped into one of:

  • Materials
  • Tasks and equipment
  • Seasonal management.

Content is listed on these pages and can be navigated using the left hand navigation items, or the drop down navigation above the lists. Article content has deliberately been created so it is accessible on all devices from desktop to mobile phone. Articles can also be printed out for offline study.

As well as the navigation options, content can be accessed though the search box at the top of site. This uses a keyword function to allow users to search based on a relevant term, such as "mowing" or "fertiliser". There is also an A-Z of Groundsmanship in the header, designed to give you a glossary of terms that you may find interesting.

If you are having difficulty using the site please do contact us and we will do everything we can to assist.
