Removal of Post Protectors

Aim:

To reduce the risk of unauthorized use of the pitch/s.

Method:

• Remove flags & post protectors and store securely.
• Check protectors & flags for damage.

Timing:

Directly after match.

Effects of Incorrect Procedure:

• Damage to posts, protectors & flags by unauthorized users.
• Loss of playability.
• Loss of revenue.

Equipment:

• Step ladders.
• Rope and metal fence pins.

Practical Tips:

• Best completed by 2 – 4 people to ensure it is safely completed.
• If posts cannot be removed, make sure that the protectors and flags are not left up.
• Any damage should be repaired ASAP.
