The Aim – a well presented, safe and compliant ground ready for play.

When preparing the ground there are a number of actions that need to take place to make the ground suitable and safe for play:

  • Setting and marking the boundary.
  • Positioning the sight screens.
  • Check ball stop netting is in place (where required).
  • Making sure the ground is safe for play.

Some of these actions can be carried out before matchday and do not need to be done after pitches are prepared, but they do relate to the position of the match pitch on the square, so this needs to be determined first.
